Queensland’s Gujarati community celebrates Navratri

The Gujarati Association of Queensland recently hosted a lively Navratri celebration, drawing crowds eager to immerse themselves in the cultural festivities. The event was attended by Federation of Indian Communities of Queensland (FICQ) president Dr. Preethi Suraj, along with Jyoti, FICQ’s Festival and Cultural Coordinator, and representatives from various member organizations.

The evening was filled with vibrant energy as participants enjoyed traditional music, colorful attire, and the joy of learning new Garba and Dandiya dance steps. The festival provided a memorable experience, fostering unity and celebrating the spirit of Navratri within Queensland’s Indian community.
