The Hindu Council of Australia Perth organized the Diwali celebrations, recently. Consul General Amarjeet Singh Takhi joined the celebrations and conveyed greetings for universal compassion, happiness, peace and love, and prosperity to the community. Indian diaspora members also attended the celebrations. Despite the pouring rains, the enthusiasm, joy and energy of children and other participants was intense and admirable. Meredith Hammat MLA represented the Deputy Premier of WA and Hugh. Jones MLA also joined the celebrations together with other dignitaries and presidents of two Sikh Gurudwaras in Perth.
