Indian classical music evening organised in Canberra

Canberra, May 11 (Australia India News Newsdesk)

 The High Commission of India in Canberra, along with the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre in Sydney and Karpahavalli Inc. (Canberra Chapter), organised a Carnatic classical music programme in Canberra.

The concert featured performances by vocalist Palghat Ramprasad, with Melakaveri K. Balaji accompanying on Mridangam and Thirucherai Karthik on violin.

According to organisers, the event celebrated the richness of Carnatic music and provided audiences with an evening focused on Indian classical musical traditions.

The programme also aimed to promote cultural exchange and strengthen artistic connections between India and Australia through community engagement and cultural activities.
