High Commission marks Rabindranath Tagore’s anniversary with cultural event in Canberra

Canberra, May 11 (Australia India News Newsdesk)

The High Commission of India in Canberra organised a cultural programme to commemorate the birth anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore in collaboration with the Bengali Cultural Association (BCA).

The event included floral tributes to Tagore and featured a range of cultural presentations such as Rabindra Sangeet, dance performances, skits and dance dramas.

Programmes based on Tagore’s celebrated works, including Tasher Desh and Chitrangada, were presented during the event.

Members of the Indian community attended the programme, which celebrated the cultural and literary contributions of the Nobel laureate poet.
