Gold Coast Holi festival draws large community gathering

Consul General Neetu Bhagotia joined members of the Indian diaspora and friends of India at a vibrant Holi celebration on the Gold Coast organised by the Indian Community of Gold Coast (ICGC).

The festival was attended by several public representatives including Assistant Minister for Multicultural Affairs and International Student Attraction Hermann Vorster, State Minister for Housing and Public Works Sam O’Connor, Federal MP Angie Bell, MP Mark Boothman and Gold Coast City Councillor Joe Wilkinson.

A large number of community members gathered to celebrate the festival, which symbolises joy, unity and the arrival of spring. Addressing the lively and colourful gathering, Consul General Bhagotia extended warm Holi greetings and appreciated the enthusiasm of the Indian community and supporters who came together to mark the occasion.
