Melbourne, April 10 (Australia India News Newsdesk)

The Australia India Institute welcomed Joan Lim and Priya Virdee-Hero this week as part of the “Girls Run The World” Takeover Program, an initiative designed to expand participants’ perspectives on careers in diplomacy, leadership, and international relations.

Throughout the program, the participants took part in a range of the Institute’s activities, including contributing to written work and engaging with key stakeholders in the Indo-Pacific region.

Their schedule included interactions with organisations such as Asia Society Australia and the La Trobe Centre for Global Security. They also met Consul General of India Anish Rajan, gaining insights into the Victoria–India relationship as well as the responsibilities involved in diplomatic roles.

The program provided hands-on experience and valuable exposure to global policy environments, helping participants better understand the scope and impact of careers in international affairs.
