Perth, April 24 (Australia India News Newsdesk)

The vibrant diversity of Indian cuisine and culture was on full display at the Flavours of India festival, held at Riverton Reserve West and organised by the City of Canning as part of the 2026 Camco Engineering Mid-Week Eats series.

India’s Consul Naresh Kumar attended the community event, which marked the conclusion of the popular food series and drew strong participation from the local community.

The festival featured more than a dozen food trucks offering authentic Indian dishes, alongside lively Bollywood performances and a range of family-friendly activities.

The event highlighted the richness of India’s culinary traditions and its growing cultural footprint in multicultural Australia.

City of Canning Shen Sekhon was also present at the festival, reflecting local government support for initiatives that celebrate cultural diversity and community engagement.

Organisers noted that events such as Flavours of India provide an important platform to bring communities together, fostering cultural understanding while showcasing India’s heritage through food, music, and performance.

The festival is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen people-to-people ties and promote Indian culture within Western Australia’s diverse social landscape.
