The Bengali Association of Western Australia celebrated the Bijoy Mela recently. Consul General Amarjeet Singh Takhi attended the Bijoy Mela and applauded their strong community nitiatives, showcasing India’s rich cultural heritage and diversity as well as its performing and fine arts and music. He also conveyed his greetings to all on arrival of INSV Tarini and its two women naval officers in Fremantle displaying extraordinary courage and resilience during their 38 days journey over sea to Australia.
