The Governor of Western Australia, Chris Dawson AC APM, along with Mrs. Darrilyn Dawson, signed the Condolence Book at the Indian Consulate, expressing heartfelt condolences on the passing of Dr. Manmohan Singh, former Prime Minister of India.
The Dawsons conveyed the profound sympathies of the Western Australian Government, recognizing Dr. Singh’s significant contributions to India and his global legacy.
Members of the consular corps, including the Consul Generals of Indonesia, Malaysia, and Vietnam, joined the tribute alongside representatives from the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) and the Deputy Director of JTSI.
The Indian community in Perth also gathered to pay their respects, reflecting on Dr. Singh’s pivotal role in India’s economic reforms and his dedication to fostering international relations.
The solemn occasion highlighted the deep ties between India and Australia, as well as the respect for Dr. Singh’s statesmanship and enduring impact on global governance.
