The couple shared the news on Instagram with a series of photos capturing the proposal, including the moment Kelce got down on one knee in a rose garden and a close-up of Swift’s diamond ring. Their caption read: “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.”
Swift and Kelce’s romance has been in the spotlight ever since they went public in October 2023. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end first expressed his interest after attending Swift’s Eras Tour in July 2023. Initially, Kelce revealed on his New Heights podcast with brother Jason that he had hoped to give Swift his phone number on a friendship bracelet at her Arrowhead Stadium concert but didn’t get the chance. With a little help from mutual acquaintances, he eventually connected with Swift, leading to their first date in New York — and the relationship quickly became a media sensation.
