Roundtable in Melbourne explores Indo-Pacific cooperation

A roundtable discussion focusing on collaboration in the Indo-Pacific brought together researchers and policy experts in Melbourne, highlighting growing trilateral engagement between Australia, India, and the Republic of Korea.

The session was co-hosted by Grace Corcoran of the Australia India Institute and Alexander Hynd at the Melbourne Global Centre in Delhi, as part of the Korean Studies Symposium.

Discussions centred on identifying opportunities for cooperation among the three countries, with participants examining how Australia, India, and South Korea can collectively contribute to a peaceful and prosperous Indo-Pacific region.

Experts highlighted the importance of strengthening partnerships across strategic, economic, and academic domains, noting that collaboration between like-minded nations is increasingly critical in addressing regional challenges.

The roundtable provided a platform for dialogue on policy coordination and knowledge-sharing, reinforcing the role of academic institutions in shaping regional engagement and fostering international cooperation.
