Jaipur, Aug 19 (IANS) – Manika Vishwakarma from Rajasthan has been crowned Miss Universe India 2025, earning the honour of representing the country at the global Miss Universe pageant in Thailand on November 21.
The glittering finale, held on Monday night in Jaipur’s Sitapura, saw 48 contestants from across India compete for the coveted title. Manika captivated the judges and audience with her elegance, poise, and confidence, edging out Tanya Sharma, who was named first runner-up.
The event was judged by Miss Universe India owner Nikhil Anand, actress and Miss Universe India 2015 Urvashi Rautela, and filmmaker Farhad Samji. Anand said Jaipur was chosen as the host city to showcase its rich art and cultural heritage.
The finale was not just a contest but a celebration, with contestants and performers entertaining the crowd with timeless Bollywood hits like “Dheere Dheere Se Meri Zindagi Mein Aana”, “Rahon Mein Unse Mulakat Ho Gayi”, “Tujhe Dekha To Yeh Jaana Sanam”, “Saiyyara”, and the iconic “Dama Dam Mast Kalandar”, which had the audience singing and dancing along.
This year’s edition saw participants from states across India, including Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Odisha, West Bengal, Jammu & Kashmir, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Maharashtra, Jharkhand, and Delhi.
Manika’s win has brought pride to Rajasthan and renewed India’s hopes of international glory. With her confidence and charisma, she now joins the ranks of Indian beauty queens who have made their mark globally.
All eyes will be on Thailand this November, as Manika takes the stage at Miss Universe 2025 to carry India’s pride and aspirations to the world.
