PKL 12: Super 10s by Aditya Shinde, Pankaj Mohite help Puneri Paltan complete double over Bengal Warriorz

Chennai, Sep 30 (IANS) – Puneri Paltan secured a thrilling 49-44 victory over Bengal Warriorz in a high-scoring Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) Season 12 clash at the SDAT Multi Purpose Indoor Stadium on Tuesday, completing a double over their rivals.

Aditya Shinde led the charge with 18 raid points, while Pankaj Mohite chipped in with 10, both registering Super 10s. Despite their brilliance, the night also belonged to Bengal captain Devank Dalal, who scored a staggering 25 points and became the first player to cross 150 raid points this season.

The game began at a rapid pace, with Puneri Paltan striking early through Aslam Inamdar and Vishal Bhardwaj. Bengal replied through Ashish Malik and Himanshu Narwal to keep the contest evenly poised. However, a first-half All Out, courtesy of Abinesh Nadarajan’s tackle on Devank, helped Puneri open up a five-point lead. They went into the break 21-18 ahead.

The second half saw Bengal fight back strongly as Devank inspired an All Out to cut the deficit to three points at 30-27. But Puneri responded in style — Mohite’s Super Raid restored their cushion, and Shinde’s late heroics, including a decisive Super Raid, pushed them firmly ahead. A second All Out sealed the game, giving Puneri an 11-point lead with just minutes left.

Though Bengal narrowed the margin late, Puneri Paltan held their nerve to clinch a well-earned win and maintain momentum in their campaign.
