Perth North Tamil School celebrates annual day

Perth North Tamil School celebrated its annual day recently. Consul General Amarjeet Singh Takhi joined the annual day celebrations, together with Tanya Richardson Mayor City of Swan, Principals of other five Tamil Schools and the president of Tamil Association of Western Australia Inc. The Consul General complimented the community on preserving and nurturing their ancient arts and culture, language, and traditions, and honoured the students and current and past Principals of the school for their voluntary leadership and service to the community. The Consul General presented a plant to all the student participants to encourage tree planting and to save environment. He also informed them of the voyage by INSV Tarini with one of the crew members having Tamilian heritage.
