Brisbane City Council is creating more to see and do in a city that is clean and green by undertaking the Pallara District Sports Park concept plan project.
As Pallara and surrounding areas continue to grow, it is important to ensure that sports, recreation and open spaces continue to meet the needs of the community.

About the project
The Pallara District Sports Park concept plan project is part of Council’s commitment to enhance and maintain more than 2100 parks across the city, which helps residents get outdoors and enjoying our city’s unique, subtropical lifestyle.
Council is inviting local residents and community groups to provide input and ideas to help prepare a draft concept plan for Pallara District Sports Park for further community engagement in 2024. The final concept plan will guide planning to meet future sports and recreation needs of the growing Pallara community, while protecting the natural environment values.
Project timing:
October 2023: Community consultation to seek input from community about project area
Mid-2024: Release draft concept plan for community consultation
End 2024: Release final concept plan
2025-2026: Subject to approvals, permits and weather, works are anticipated to commence
Project benefits
The Pallara District Sports Park concept plan project will provide a district level sports park that responds to the needs of a growing community by providing open greenspace and facilities for sports.
Future opportunities
Further stages of the Pallara Open Space Network Corridor project are subject to future funding allocations, citywide priorities and development agreements in the area. Further information will be provided as information becomes available.
