Nikita Dutta reveals what makes her Navratri celebrations different this time

Mumbai, Oct 1 (IANS) – Actress Nikita Dutta is celebrating Navratri this year with a fresh twist, sharing glimpses of her festive activities on Instagram on Wednesday.

In her posts, Nikita revealed that she grew ‘khetri’ at home — barley seeds soaked overnight and sown in a pot on the first day of Navratri. She shared that she watered the sprouts lightly twice a day during the daily Aarti and expressed her joy at seeing healthy green shoots on the ninth day of the festival. “Apart from fasting until Ashtami, I decided to grow ‘khetri’ in my house… I feel the happiest now looking at the healthy green sprouts on day 9. Jai Mata Di,” she wrote.

Her pictures also showcased her enjoying festive food, performing the traditional Pooja, and playing Garba with family.

Nikita made her film debut with Lekar Hum Deewana Dil but gained wider recognition with Gold, sharing the screen with Akshay Kumar. She further established her versatility with roles in Kabir Singh and The Big Bull. Known for her elegance and subtle performances, Nikita has successfully balanced television fame with meaningful roles in films, emerging as one of the promising talents of her generation.

Recently, she was seen in Jewel Thief – The Heist Begins, portraying Farah — a layered character caught between two worlds. Farah is married to Rajan Aulakh, a powerful gangster, yet shares a romantic past with Rehan Roy, the titular jewel thief played by Saif Ali Khan, making her character pivotal to the narrative.
