Nehal Chudasama: It’s a myth that beauty queens are perfect

Mumbai, Aug 26 (IANS)Nehal Chudasama, Miss Diva Universe 2018 and currently a contestant on the 19th season of Bigg Boss, says the idea that beauty queens are flawless is a complete myth. She believes they are just ordinary people who work hard on grooming and self-improvement to inspire others.

Speaking about the struggles behind the crown, Nehal told IANS:
It’s a myth that beauty queens are perfect. We’re as human as anyone else. The struggles are real. I came from nowhere, with no entertainment background, and had to learn everything about how the industry and pageants work.

She explained that becoming a pageant winner takes immense effort:
Winning that crown involves hard work in every aspect — developing your personality, competing, grooming yourself, inspiring others, and showing relatability. It’s a lot to take on.

Nehal credits her journey and transformation with helping her encourage others:
My life story shows that you can evolve and believe in yourself. It’s been quite a journey.

When asked about the biggest misconception people have, she said:
That we’re perfect. We’re not. We’re more groomed and try to reach a level where we can encourage people, but we embrace our flaws just like anyone else. Perfection is far from reality.

On what defines beauty today, Nehal emphasized it’s not just about looks:
Beauty is the whole package — who you are on the inside along with being presentable to the world. No one wants to interact with someone who isn’t groomed or doesn’t smell good. So it’s an overall thing.

Nehal’s journey reflects the effort and authenticity behind the glamour, busting the myth of perfection associated with beauty queens.
