Melbourne marks 85th anniversary of Tobruk Siege with diplomatic presence

Melbourne, April 12 (Australia India News Newsdesk)

Consul General of India in Melbourne Anish Rajan participated in a commemorative event marking the 85th anniversary of the Siege of Tobruk, alongside Her Excellency the Honourable Sam Mostyn, Governor-General of Australia, and other dignitaries.

The ceremony brought together members of the Consular Corps in Melbourne and representatives of the Rats of Tobruk Association to honour those who served during the World War II campaign.

The event paid tribute to the bravery and endurance displayed during the siege, recognising its historical significance and the sacrifices made by those involved.

The participation of diplomatic representatives highlighted the importance of collective remembrance and reinforced the value of shared history in fostering international goodwill.
