Ashlesha Savant offers a peek into her traditional mandap ceremony with Sandeep Baswana

Mumbai, Nov 27 (IANS):
Television actress Ashlesha Savant on Thursday shared a series of serene and heartfelt photographs from her wedding to actor Sandeep Baswana, offering fans a closer look at their traditional mandap ceremony.

Posting the pictures on Instagram, Ashlesha captioned them with a reflective note rooted in Sanskrit: “In Sanskrit Namas means bowing, Te means to you. The divine and self is the same in you and me. We bow to the divine in you. Thank you for the blessings and love. #gratitude #blessed.”

In the images, the couple is seen seated side by side with folded hands immediately after their wedding rituals. One photo shows their hands resting gently over each other, capturing the intimate simplicity of the moment.

Ashlesha, known for her roles in Anupamaa and Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, tied the knot with her longtime partner Sandeep Baswana in an intimate ceremony. Earlier, the couple had posted their first wedding pictures with the caption: “And just like that, we stepped into a new chapter as Mr & Mrs… Tradition found its way into our hearts. We are filled with gratitude for all the blessings. #justmarried #grateful #us.”

Reports suggest the duo got married on November 16 at Vrindavan’s Chandrodaya Temple, with only close family members in attendance.

Ashlesha and Sandeep first met in 2002 on the sets of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, where she played Teesha Mehta Virani and he portrayed Sahil Virani. Their friendship gradually deepened into love, and the couple has lived together for many years.

Currently, Ashlesha appears in the TV show Jhanak. She was also part of Anupamaa, where she played Barkha, the sister-in-law of Anuj, portrayed by Gaurav Khanna.
