Canberra, May 14 (Australia India News Newsdesk)

Australia India Business Council (AIBC) Chair Deepak-Raj Gupta OAM met India’s newly appointed High Commissioner to Australia, Nagesh Singh, during meetings held in Canberra focused on strengthening bilateral relations.

AIBC said the discussions highlighted the importance of expanding people-to-people and business ties between Australia and India and continuing engagement with the High Commission in the coming months.

The visit coincided with a series of business and policy events in Canberra ahead of the Federal Budget, including a Canberra Business Chamber breakfast where speakers shared perspectives on the economic outlook.

The council also noted the participation of young professionals and emerging leaders at the event, describing it as a positive sign for Australia’s future business community.

During the Canberra engagements, AIBC also marked its 40th anniversary, reflecting on its role in supporting and promoting Australia-India relations over the past four decades.
