India & Japan discuss Indo-Pacific cooperation during Canberra meeting

Canberra, May 12 (Australia India News Newsdesk)

India’s High Commissioner to Australia met Japanese Ambassador to Australia Suzuki Kazuhiro during an introductory lunch meeting in Canberra to discuss bilateral cooperation and regional priorities in the Indo-Pacific.

The High Commission of India said the meeting focused on strengthening India-Japan cooperation and advancing a shared vision for a free, open and inclusive Indo-Pacific region.

Both sides exchanged views on regional engagement and areas of mutual interest as part of ongoing diplomatic interactions between India and Japan in Australia.

The discussions reflected continued efforts by the two countries to enhance cooperation on strategic and regional issues in the Indo-Pacific.
