Hindi Diwas in Perth: A celebration of language and Cultural roots

The Hindi Samaj of Western Australia (HSWA) recently celebrated Hindi Diwas with a vibrant showcase of language and culture. Paathshala students and teachers performed “Hindi Mera Abhimaan” and presented a skit on language unity, while young scholars recited poems, including “Samay Ka Mehatv.”

The skit “Desi Parents, Videshi Bachhe,” performed by Uttar Pradesh Awadh Manch WA, highlighted the need to preserve cultural roots by teaching Hindi to children born abroad. Writers from the Kalam Dawat group shared their work, and Rita Kaushal introduced her new book, Samritiyan.

Consul General Amarjeet Singh Takhi praised the Hindi Samaj for promoting Hindi across Western Australia through community and mainstream schools.
