Tagore birth anniversary observed at Macquarie University in Sydney

Sydney, May 7 (Australia India News Newsdesk)

The Consulate General of India in Sydney commemorated the birth anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore with a floral tribute ceremony at Macquarie University.

Consul General Dr S. Janakiraman, along with university officials, paid floral tributes to the bust of Tagore at the university campus on May 7.

The event was organised to honour the legacy of the Nobel laureate poet, philosopher and cultural icon, whose literary and artistic contributions continue to be celebrated worldwide.

Officials described the programme as a tribute to Tagore’s enduring influence on literature, culture and education.
