Consulate marks World Meditation Day with community participation

The Consulate recently marked World Meditation Day with a special programme organised in collaboration with the Art of Living and members of the broader Indian diaspora, focusing on the theme of mental wellness and inner balance.

The event began with a short presentation on the benefits of meditation, highlighting its positive impact on mental and physical health. This was followed by gentle, relaxing movements and a guided meditation session that encouraged participants to experience mindfulness and calm.

Speaking on the occasion, the Acting Consul General Naresh Kumar underlined the significance of meditation in everyday life, noting that regular practice can play a key role in fostering resilience and supporting a sustainable and balanced lifestyle.

The programme witnessed active engagement from community members and reflected the Consulate’s commitment to promoting holistic well-being through collaborative initiatives with diaspora organisations.
