Mumbai, Nov 27 (IANS): Elvish Yadav has opened up about his lead role in the upcoming campus drama Aukaat Ke Bahar, sharing why the character of Rajveer resonates so strongly with him.
Speaking about portraying Rajveer, Elvish said, “Aukaat Ke Bahar is very close to my heart because it’s far more than just a love story. Rajveer’s journey is rooted in self-respect, honesty, and the struggle to find your place in a world quick to judge. Playing him felt real and personal in many ways. I’m excited to begin my acting journey with Amazon MX Player, and I hope the audience connects with him as deeply as I did.”
Malhaar Rathod, who plays Antara Shukla, also reflected on her character: “Antara is confident, ambitious, and unapologetically herself, but beneath that strength is someone learning to balance power and vulnerability. On November 27, the makers released the show’s trailer on social media, captioning it: “aankhon mein hunger, dil mein fire — yeh journey hogi Aukaat ke Bahar. Coming soon only on Amazon MX Player for FREE!”
The trailer introduces Rajveer Ahlawat (Elvish Yadav), a spirited, grounded youth from Safidon, Haryana, who enters the elite environment of a Delhi college with big dreams but limited means. After being mocked for his background at the fresher’s party, he impulsively takes up a bet to impress senior Antara Shukla (Malhaar Rathod), a poised and politically driven student who guards her emotions carefully.
What starts as a reckless dare gradually evolves, as Rajveer battles his ego and emotions, while Antara attempts to reconcile her ambitions with her growing feelings.
Marking Elvish Yadav’s debut as a lead actor, Aukaat Ke Bahar also stars Malhaar Rathod, Hetal Gada, Nikhil Vijay, and Keshav Sadhana. Produced by Rusk Media, the show will premiere for free on Amazon MX Player from December 3.
