Mumbai, Aug 21 (IANS) Megastar Amitabh Bachchan described it as his “most honoured moment” to meet India’s Women’s Ice Hockey Team on his quiz-based reality show Kaun Banega Crorepati, as he lauded their bronze medal triumph at the Asian Games.
The actor shared pictures with the team on his blog, writing: “A revelation, an honour, and such a privilege… Did any of you know that India had a Women’s Ice Hockey Team, and that they won Bronze at the Asian Games? What a surprise and the most honoured moment to be with them on KBC, to hear their journey and the hardships they faced. But never say never to a lady — they proved everyone wrong.”
India secured the bronze medal at the IIHF Asia Cup in Al Ain, UAE, defeating Thailand 3–1 in the third-place playoff last month.
Meanwhile, heavy rains in Mumbai have led to severe waterlogging outside Bachchan’s Juhu residence, Jalsa. Unverified videos circulating online even suggest the superstar was seen clearing water with a wiper, while staff worked to manage the flooding. His former residence, Pratiksha, was also reported to be inundated.
On his blog, Big B also reflected on life lessons, quoting his father Harivansh Rai Bachchan’s iconic poem Madhushala. He urged readers to remain steadfast on their chosen path despite distractions: “There is but one path to your final destination… keep moving on it and you shall get there.”
