Lisa Mishra to Perform at IFFM 2025: “This Opportunity Means the World to Me”

Mumbai, Aug 13 (IANS) — Singer and actress Lisa Mishra is set to make her debut at the prestigious Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) 2025. Excited about the performance, she expressed her eagerness to connect with a dynamic and multicultural audience.

“I’m truly honoured to be performing at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne this year. It’s my first time on the IFFM stage, and I can’t wait to share my music with such a vibrant and diverse audience,” Lisa said. “IFFM isn’t just a film festival—it’s a celebration of Indian art and culture on a global platform. To be part of that energy, especially in a city like Melbourne that embraces creativity with open arms, is something I’m genuinely looking forward to. This opportunity is very special to me.”

Known for her hit tracks Teri Hoon, Tareefan Reprise, Sajna Ve, and Wakhra Song, Lisa has carved a niche with both her playback singing and independent music.

IFFM 2025 will be held from August 14 to 24. This year’s Spotlight Film is Boong, produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani’s Excel Entertainment.

Marking the directorial debut of Lakshmipriya Devi—a seasoned industry professional and former first assistant director on acclaimed projects such as Luck by Chance, Talaash, PK, and Mira Nair’s A Suitable BoyBoong stars Gugun Kipgen and Bala Hijam.

The film, which premiered at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival under the Discovery section, follows Boong and his friend Sanamatum on a heartfelt journey to reunite his family, serving as an unexpected gift from his mother.
